Permanently? If only it were so. Would only replace it with another soap, or 'fix your house/section/kids/life'
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I simply love it!!! But then again, I'm not normal... uhh...

I like watching all these attractive athletes doing their thing! Oh, and it's quite a good laugh when they screw it up and get all emotional.

    I reckon I'm 7/10

Watching sport just doesn't do anything for me. Normally I'd probably be 1/10 - but I find that the political aspect behind the event shines through even more this year than usual.

I have just become a BIG supporter of the olly-impics!
We should screen the Disabled Olly-impics as well if it keeps that crap off the air.

I enjoy the polevault, javelin and discus.
All the "running around in a circle" events bore me shitless.

Yeah I'm quite keen to watch a fair bit of the sport although I won't be losing sleep to watch it. Rate me about a 6 I think.
The big spectator interest for me though is to watch how any protestors get dealt with. I'm on the side of the Chinese. It's their country and they shouldn't have to put up with foreigners coming in telling them how to act.

Yeah! I mean, why shouldn't peaceful Falun Gong protesters be arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and then executed when someone wants their kidneys, and their family billed for the bullet used to kill them. Seems perfectly reasonable.
And why shouldn't Christians be arrested and deported for praying in Tiannamen Square. PRAYING is OFFENSIVE and of course shouldn't be accepted in public places.
And as for censorship and repression if dissidents, well that's completley sensible. What kind of anarchy would we have if people could say and read what they wanted!

China has evolved into a classic facist state.

Riiight, does Tibet spring to mind? Chinese invasion in 1951? Now, whose country is that?

The thing that amuses me about theses olympics is that all the Chinese are going "Hey look at us, we rock!"
And the rest of the First World is looking at China in astonishment and saying "Jeez, what a shithole. Glad I don't live in that smoggy dictatorship."
And the Chinese don't even realise the world looks at them with contempt and pity.

8/10. I guess the silent acheiver inside me has the utmost respect for anyone that can excel in anything so well that they have the opportunity to compete on the world stage.

My darker side also gets some enjoyment out of seeing others fail spectacularly too!

Also one of the few TV spectacles where you can shamelessly watch partially clad females jumping about without the missus nagging!

Just got a LCD TV and with HD Freeview so looking forward to 4 HD channels of Olympic goodness!

Who cares what people think of China. It's all about the athletes not the location. Theres no place for politics in sport.
