isn't she duty bound to arrest you for any transgression?

could you take a leak in the street outside your home in a drunken state without fear of repercussions??

Yup I have my doubts as well. In regards to breaking the law-I speed, but since she's not around on the increasingly rare occasions when I do.........

All jokes aside, I wonder if you really realise the extent to which becoming a fair dinkum police officer will move your wife into a different world.

And then there's the shift work, et cetera. Do some googling on police divorce statistics.

I hate to be the party pooper, but in your position, I would not be keen on this idea.
Yep. My reply was not a joke. I fully agree with jrandom, and my view is not a reflection on my view of cops. It is a reflection on what it will do to your relationship.

    Yes, the relationship was doomed.
My reply here had nothing to do with my view on police. It was all about what having a police in the family will do to you.
And yes, I respect all those branches of police. I do work with them.

Mrs SPB's information evening is on the 27th August......the biggest impediment at this stage is the potential training period and near 5 months away from home, I feel that could be the deal breaker.
