Na it was just a stupid thing to do is all. As I said to the cop, I got a bit carried away having some fun. It was on Durham/springfield st. Went through the fun couple of bends and just felt like I was cruising. Turned onto Ranfurly St and just pulled into the driveway when the cop came up behind me.

Turns out I was doing 74. The wallet doesnt hurt as much as the 35 demerits though. That just seemed like a heap. Id rather pay more money and have less demerits.

One of lifes lessons really. Dont speed in town.

The missus got a ticket in the car yesterday too, 63 in a 50, they must be starting fundraising for their christmas do!

Maybe it's time for a good ol' fashioned pig hunt...

Kinda makes ya wonder if they try to inforce the more 'profitable' laws...

It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

as for the topic of the tread, If I was to bring in my forks and a new set of seals, would it be a good nights learning for everyone to see how to replace their fork seals?
I also have a caliper mount that needs helicoiling, how many of us need to do that but dont know how? Helicoiling that is. you know , for those tripped out thread in alloy that occur at the most inconveniant time!!!

Hi all, where and when are these evenings? Are they open to all? Am re-learning just about everything after a very long absence from bikes ...

    Cheers!

And the other thing Lemans forgot to add was yes it is open to all, come along and meet a few of the locals.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

This, and the wednesday night ride, sound exactly like what I've been wanting to find for a while now but alas I finish work at about 7.30 on a wednesday night and usually have to do things after.
What a pain. It's hard finding like minded people ...
I'll keep checking out these threads just incase something else on another day comes up.

    Thanks all,
    enjoy (lucky buggers!)

    Pete

Peeteey we do ride in the weekends as well.

So keep an eye on, meetings and events and you can always tag along for one of the rides.

As summer gets closer there will be more and more rides.

Most of us try to ride every weekend, even if it is just a short ride.

Surely a ride's more important than work!! Rosters can be changed...can't they?

Anyway, welcome along mate. Would be good to see another one of those pop-up Katana's around
