    My vote goes to Christchurch

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Auckland City sucks, I live here!!! i also choose tauranga so much more relaxed except the mount during holiday periods unless boy racers driving around all day is your kind of thing.. But other wise a very nice place..

Wellington cause I own a house here and have a not to bad job here and there are two race tracks within reasonable riding distance.
There are some good roads (and pubs) over the hill as well.
Wellington city is pretty good, nice and compact and has most everything you need (or want) including the Rugby Sevens !!! Oh and the second most interesting airport approach in the country
Obviously if I cared about the weather I would move.

Auckland rocks! Best little city in the third world I have ever lived in.
    Why? Here are the reasons:
    1. you and a million of your fellow friends can meet on rutted, classic motorways (for that off road experience all while never leaving Epsom),
    2. tiny, crowded residential streets full of "project" cars proudly displayed on front yards for your inspection,
    3. uber-expensive homes built out of the finest, low grade materials (leaky homes save pipes which is good for the environment ),
    4. plenty of frigid, ugly, horse-faced drunk women who travel in packs and think they are refined because they say use deodorant, wash weekly and can say "latte" and "cafe" and "you pay" all while never taking the look of disgust off their faces,
    5. boy racers roaring through the dark, wet nights, in expensive cars paid for by our taxes,
    6. dairies where you can get killed by crims while shopping (@ No extra charge),
    7. parking lots where elderly people get robbed and murdered (2 for 1 deal!),
    8. restaurants where service isn't included in the high price for the camphobacteria laden food (value added, as they say in the industry),
    9. high council rates which includes broken bottles at your kerb for no additional charge,
    10. road courtesy shown to no one, especially bikers,
    11. warm, sub tropical climate,
    12. cultural artistic expression pieces sprayed on your walls and/or fences (included in council rates, again at no additional charge),

But, the flip side of living in Auckland is

    Ride, eat, sleep, repeat!

Most of us will recommend where we live, cos that's the place we (should) know best. Can you take a month to travel the country and decide from what you see?
If not, then Hawkes Bay fits your parameters.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

your probally correct, but is is growing and spreading which kind of taking the apeal away from me, now a nice quite place near the beach say leigh or omaha or something similar would suite me fine... Most people my age love the crowds and town ect. id rather a more relaxed atmosphere and come nice quiet roads to take my bike down everyday of the week

Ahh.. now that is worth another mention! if you ride here and get transfixed by the beautiful scenery, mid corner, you might need to be picked up and taken home!
Depending on the severity of your damage and your cuteness, I will take you to your place , my place or a safe place where you can be picked up later by your loved ones!
Thankfully last summer, I only had two call outs and neither involved mangled bodies. But as the weather warms up I will give the loop riders a reminder that Im here if it all turns to shit while you are scratchin in the hills! I have trailer, tools, tubes, tiedowns, turettes and tequilla!

    That explains quite a lot.
