    Thanks!
Thats sounds very interesting, yet painful, may be interested in participating, in the crawling version!! Haha! Will keep an ear out for it, will need aLOT of training for that, so if its in the near future I wouldnt be ready, but maybe the next one, whats the dates on that mate?[/QUOTE]

It's the 1st weekend in March 7/8th I think, you don't need a lot of training , some groups have 1 or 2 people out at a time for 1/2 hr or so others do large blocks & a few do the whole time , the focus is on fun, each group has a tent site as well which many decorate or attempt to sleep in , I think 1 year 1 group had a pink scooter that they road around the block for the whole time.

    Its still On

    Hey Guys
apparently theres a rumour that this ride has been postponed till the 31st!, it has not, and unless the rain is sideways, we will take a teaspoon of cement and harden up!!!!

I will be there in my oilskin if need be!!!

And we probably wont be postponing as we've organised too much, and some important people cannot make the 31st!

So! Time to rock and Roll

Unless the rain is sideways...see you all there!

Leave the sideways for the Sidecar Have-a-go-day!!!!
Will be there tomorrow with bells on!!!!

Dont forget people, there's alot happening at the venue tomorrow.
The NZ Sidecar Racing Association's president Chris Lawrance will have his NZ made long bike sidecar there on display and ready to answer questions, along with 7 times NZ Superbike champion Andrew Stroud who will also be there with his awesome superbike on display. This will be a great chance to have a look at one of NZ's finest superbikes up-close, and to chew the fat with one of NZ's most successful motorcycle riders. This guy is very approachable, so feel free to ask him all your questions!!
You'll also have the chance to talk to Andrew about the purchase of his 2006 GSXR1000K6 Superbike. Currently for sale on Trademe for $12,500!!
If I didn't race on 3 wheels, I'd definitely buy that puppy!!

    See ya all there,

The organisers have made an executive decision. This event is going ahead as planned regardless of what it looks like out your window at the moment. So get along, Hey, its only water!!

It was a privilege to be there today, especially given the conditions. You knew that everyone else there really cared about the cause - so at the end of the day, while the numbers were down a bit, the commitment was outstanding.

Incredibly sobering to see Si and Leon's bikes up close - made me realise how fragile and precious human life is. I had to pop in and see my kids on the way home and give them an extra squeezy hug.

Well done everyone who put so much time and effort into the day.

Hey Big big Ups to everyone who attended today, that was strangely awesome ( I know - I drove and missed the cold and wet effect) given the conditions, the comittment from everyone in the crew, was phenominal and I really cannot express that enough.

Im not too good at public speaking, and couldnt really get a decent conversation in with everyone to thank everyone personally.

We had potential for the kickin ass day, but you cant pick the weather, we nearly pulled the pin, but thought when the forecast said it would clear around noon, that it just might.....and when I drove over the Kaimais I really wish I did postpone.

Thanks to the NZSRA, the Lawrence Brothers (what a truck!) Steve and Andy
and Andrew Stroud (And Karen - top lady!!!), your presence was so appreciated and we look forward to future projects with you guys!

And to the brave riders, getting back from Hamilton mustve been horrible, and I hope your all tucked up with a strong drink, good food and a spa/bath and snoring your heads off as I write this - you all deserve it!

Who the hell goes out with Gale force and storm warnings, this thing should be called MADD!

I will be squeezing my eyes shut if its sunny next Sunday! (All texts and calls will be ignored if anyone brings that to my attention haha )

Anyway, Ive learned the 45645646th thing today, on this journey.

Move the damn ride out of winter!!

To all involved in organising and attending -You guys ROCK

    Wellllll?

    Ok

Ive reflected on yesterday, Im not sure if many attended from KB, alot were locals, some from Rotorua, Matamata, Auckland, Napier - but theres been alot of calls today asking if we are doing this ride next Sunday..

Most will know by now, that whats done is done, and we have to stand by our decisions as to why this went ahead..

I cant pull this together again for next Sunday (well I could..maybe..) but is it worth it?

Suggestions of even a couple of months down the track..

    (Feedback appreciated!)

What happened yesterday was very cool, and staunch, which reflects what BADD has been about from the beginning.

What this ride/event is rumoured to have been is another matter.

I feel like I want to leave this years ride as it was yesterday, and acknowledge the legends involved in my updates.
I know there are some wild tales and thank goodness only experienced riders attended and all got home safe.

Check the website over the next few weeks for the photos and the legendary tale of the BADD rogue storm that hit BOP and Waikato - Sunday 24th August
    Cheers
