    Dead baby Humpback

Isn't it odd that Japan couldn't aid in saving the baby Humpback. With all their scientific research, you'd think they'd have all the answers!

I suppose they could have removed it's jawbone to check if it was alive or not

I don't like the Japs approach, however, research is normally about migration patterns and how they communicate, not how to save an ill whale

That would require a giant tit, and Pammy Anderson wasn't in town

Fair enough if you could go down to the corner dairy and get a few litres of full cream whale. I did notice that a guy had turned up with 6 litres of trim milk but I seriously doubt that there is anything available that would be suitable, even if there was a way to deliver it successfuly.

I imagine you’re right Oakie and it would probably always end with tears. I just thought the Japanese could have offered assistance with their vast knowledge of whales and perhaps a support research vessel (with onboard whale defibrillator) in case things turned bad.

Even if they did manage to keep it alive it would be dependant on humans for the rest of its life. The people feeding it would be extremely screwed once it can't drink milk anymore.

What happened was sad but the only sensible to do.

Wonder if it will be served up in school cafes as it is in Japan.
