Hindus don't eat pork as it is supposed to be unclean. Same reason Muslims don't eat it.

Indians however definitely do eat pork. I do and a lot of others do too. Love crackling... yum

It's quite possible they intended that this happened, free new publicity and remember any publicity is just publicity - see how many of us went "pork" yum... how many of you went and bought some pork as a result?

There are a million ways to shoot an ad, too many little things here that didn't need to be there, why include a Hindu Goddess? How many ads do you see that potray something taboo in western society that focus on a picture of Jesus? Like the pseudo erotic perfume ads, alchohol ads - none of them do.

This ad was probably created to offend. It's no coincidence that marketing folk aren't the most trusted community.

Resident redneck maybe, but I don't think its particularly redneck to want to go out of my way to offend _any_ religion that makes bullshit complaints like this.

They should play this ad regardless of it offends some, because it entertains others. Perhaps one of the reasons I like southpark because it goes out of its way to offend pretty much every religion.
