Define intelligence, even the greatest minds of today still struggle to define exactly what intelligence is and how to measure it. We still don't understand fully how the human brain works, al we can say for certain is that it's incredibly complex. Who are you to say that having a different world view from others is not due to a different pathways in the brain.

The problem is I didn't say that that the particular group caused it, I said that they got the blame for it.

I read it as you saying I said they caused it. I just said it correlated (hence my correlation != cause post)

Basically my argument will always be that racism and prejudice have contributed greatly to the major world wide fuck ups.

Therefore, why contribute to that and try justify it by quoting stats that say a stereotype of a certain ethnicity is true so that makes racist comments justifiable...yeah, I think that made sense.

It is a survival trait - if a plant with bright red berries gives you the shits, avoid all plants with bright red berries (thereby meaning that even the nutritious red berry plants are avoided). Strangers sometimes are trouble, therefore all strangers aren't trusted...Darwinism is a blunt instrument, not a scalpel.

However, we shed a whole lot of learned behaviours as we scrambled down from the trees, and this Tribal Instinct still blights civilisation. Hell, it stalks this forum - we like the protection of familiar groups and distrust anyone different.

Yes there is a value to that, but basing your response on skin colour/team uniform/hair length or mode of transport is not necessarily an accurate method anymore....
