To pre-judge is natural, a learned behaviour. Unsurprisingly, one can make statistically valid guesses about another's likely behaviour, (unfavourable or not) based on a few key cues. Possibly a survival trait relating to social adaptability.

The Racism definition I don’t dispute.

Who are you to say that having a different world view from others is not due to a different pathways in the brain.

Could get interesting if followed up...

    • If you carry an airgun or even possess it without a lawful purpose, you could be fined $4000 and/or imprisoned for up to 3 years.
    • Careless use of an airgun may bring a fine of $4000 and /or up to 3 years in prison.
    • Firing an airgun in a way that may endanger, annoy or frighten anyone or harm property could mean you are fined $3000 and/or are imprisoned for up to 3 months.
    • For unlawfully pointing an airgun at someone, you could be fined $1000 and/or spend up to 3 years in prison.
    • If you sell or supply an airgun to an unlicensed person under 18, you could be fined $1000 and /or imprisoned for up to 3 months. This could happen when an adult buys a child an airgun as a gift.

    Did someone say 'fucking darkies'?

By the way, take note, guys - this is how they breed.

Yes, that's right - recent work in Natural Philosophy has determined that darkies do not, in fact, spring forth unbidden from piles of rotting meat!

This insight could have a profound effect on population control efforts.

OOPS...sorry, we appear to be getting back on topic!

It is a survival trait - if a plant with bright red berries gives you the shits, avoid all plants with bright red berries (thereby meaning that even the nutritious red berry plants are avoided). Strangers sometimes are trouble, therefore all strangers aren't trusted...Darwinism is a blunt instrument, not a scalpel.

However, we shed a whole lot of learned behaviours as we scrambled down from the trees, and this Tribal Instinct still blights civilisation. Hell, it stalks this forum - we like the protection of familiar groups and distrust anyone different.

If you think about it.. they've got a hell of alot out of the situation. You know, technology and all that. (In this situation, the car and paintball gun (and kfc, I had to come back to it!))

And, so, they want land back.. can I have my rifles and blankets back?

My point was that there was more than one correlating factor, and one or more of these correlating factors is the cause.

You reckon there's no longer any value in the ability to quickly evaluate the possible behaviour or motives of an aproaching stranger?

Yes there is a value to that, but basing your response on skin colour/team uniform/hair length or mode of transport is not necessarily an accurate method anymore....
