Thanks guys, excellent day, hope you got home OK Sarge
Cheers Al & crew! Fantastic day out and it was great to compare trip meters.
Al = 453.8km and mine 454.5km. Google revealed Ashhurst to Turangi was 188km and my bike showed 188.5km at the "Welcome to Turangi" sign, so I'm pleased it's accurate.

Went for a blast yesterday after changing out my toasted plugs. WOW! What a difference. It actually pulls wheel stands finally!

Went out Halcolme, ran into 2 girls out riding on an R6 called the "BladeBreaker" (lol!!!) and a CBR600RR. We all ended up doing a lap out Mangaone Rd and just taking random turns.

Came out by the river when I was expecting to hit Vinegar hill?? Road looped back past a marae and onto the road back to Halcolme near Feltex. Awesome roads to blast through and these two were FAST!

Then went into palmy and over the track, random road off Balance ending at the single lane bridge at the gorge. Then the saddle to Ashhurst. We split there and I headed home with another tyre worn to the belts and a smile a mile wide. 200Km of local roads, nice.

    I LOVE RIDING

Sounds good mate, pity you did'nt go up to Turangi with Al,Al and Garry, had a nice cruise through to National Park but I felt crook and they were heading through to Wanganui so I decided to shoot through the more direct route to Tiahape by which point I felt much better thankfully things in my stomach settled and felt reasonably chirpy from then on, once again V Hill was great fun and decided it was time for a smoke by the time I got to Ashhurst so I called in on Meanie and Monie only intendeding to stop for a smoke and to check out the revamped seat on Monie new machine and see what they all thought of it but ended up getting way laid by the usual outstanding hospitality . Had an awesome run though the lower to mid North Island yesterday.

Were these to girls you ran into locals?

Didn't have the tyre for anything too far out of town... then remembered the other cbr sitting in the garage with a new back tyre... dumb ass. The run to Turangi wasn't what I was after anyways. I have been hanging out to play on some fast twistie stuff.

Ones a local girl, a Sgt at Linton the other I'm not sure. Probably is. Mellissa has met another young girl on a red and white R6 on Railway ave.

Yeah I was up and down a bit through to Taihape but after a stop there things seemed to settle down and I could enjoy the rest of the day.

    Update on house

it is looking better and better...the offer we got last week was okayish, but the purchaser has been fluffing about a bit on getting the counter offer signed...she has since been relegated to a back-up offer since she was too busy this weekend to sign on the dotted line...she was going to leave it to monday evening...well another offer came through today which does not need a counter offer...it is a little more money, and no clauses except for finance and lim report (agent says finance should not be an issue as she owns one property freehold). And the best thing is settlement would be mid october instead of around 12th november!

I signed on the dotted line, and now its seriously time to go house hunting!

looks like i'm out for this weekend, in-laws will be in town and we haven't seen them for a while so the big bird will get a good clean but probably no ride

had an interesting chat with the physio today, apparently the posterior cruciat is torn almost all the way through but just hanging on by a few fibres, physio reckoned if it actually gave way completely, I'd probably have a lot less discomfort! hows that for ironic!
