So, I am feeling the urge to change my ride again.... WHY? I love bike shopping.... WHY? Because I bloody can!

Life changes have left me with less and less time to ride or go on long rides and commuting because I am acquiring a company car with an ever more time demanding career (it's apparently a Honda would you believe...... sheez.....)

.... AND we have a second baby due next Feb (Mitch just turned 1 - a full on 'laugh a minute' kid and a true Daddy's boy who loves anything on wheels and bikes) ...

The work and family demands on my time mean it's better for me to just go out for quick hoons about the countryside rather than the big cruises I have been into since I bought the M109R in Dec 2006 prior to which I rode sportsbikes.

So, these are the options:

Stick with the M109R

Change to this.....

Toaster

The Busa sounds good, almost as good as the 109

But it seems to me your Riding days are about to be relegated to "A Thing of the Past" for a few years at least

Speaking from experience, two little kids (four in my case) will take all your spare time and money.

Family activities will become the norm.

Bike riding will fall by the wayside.

You could take them riding with you when they are older, but Two Kids and one pillion seat will cause a you grief for sure.

However there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Kids grow up and before you know it they are teenagers, it's no longer cool to hang with the olds anymore an Dad can bugger off on his bike again (Mum too) without too much grumbling from the Family.

By then the Hayabusa will be outdated and slow by comparison to what will be on offer by then.

Then before you know it theres Grankids on the scene and so the cycle goes on.

Have you asked yourself why you bought the 109 in the first place Cam?
And you have just spent all that time getting it to how you want it.

To add to that, the main issue I now have, is that my hips damaged in the crash are killing me everytime I ride the bike with such a wide tank - which aint much fun at all.

Seems the smack on the road is going to continue to give me grief until I am old and grey.

No not at all Horse. I did expect that result, and any decision made going forward will not be influenced by this or any other poll I post up for the fun of it.
