I left Napier yesterday and froze my arse off over the Napier/Taupo Highway.
Arriving in Taupo with wet feet due to old boots was a misery but a stop at Katman's shop (1 Miro St, Taupo) cheered me up considerably.
A hot cuppa coffee, a good hour or more of interesting conversation, new boots and a new helmet and I was feeling a lot better on the way home.
