Manawatu weekend rides

Got a possible ride for ya's (ulterior motive).
Just heard from Ram Solutions the they have the clear dual lock in stock now.
Thought a ride down to Welly to go to Ram Solutions and to go to that bike store Meanie was talking about the day and maybe one other perhaps (see how time goes).
Have to leave fairly early saturday morning to make it worth while, maybe leave Ashhurts at 8:00?
Wether permitting- looking ok though.

Ooooppss! just thought i'd better check as I assumed that Ram Solutions was in Welly but alas no they are in Auckland, nevermind.
Still think going to check out the bike stores would be a reasonable reason for a day out though...

I'm keen to do a Wellington run as I haven't been down there on the bike yet. I would be interested in doing around the bays but you have watch the ridiculous speed limits.

I'm contemplating a trip up to Napier on Sunday to catch up with an old mate at lunch time (but briefly as he's got errands Sunday arvo), and then home via Taupo and other points. Basically get a feel for the bike on longer jaunts.

Probably just SH2/Hwy50 on the way up, possibly more interesting paths on the trip back.

Suggested meetup time is 9am Sunday morning at Ashhurst Mobil, and my initial destination is actually Hastings rather than Napier - my friend will be offering tasting of his wine all Sunday morning at the HB Farmers Market at the A&P Showgrounds.

Plan is Pahiatua track, Alfredton(via BP turn off at Pahiatua-no gps required ), Pongaroa loop back to Pahiatua, track, Balance, Saddle.

Meet up at Aakuatere at 1pm this arvo.

A damn good ride. Funny who you bump into on the way ah? Bumped into Yod at Dannivirke(wasn't planning to but ended up there Stumbled on some unsealed stuff around behind Mangitanoka. Why is every time you pull a map out some kind soul pulls up to see if you need help? Finished off with a Bundy at Cafe Cuba and a few of the usual suspects then off home. Gerbles looking decidedly used if you know what I mean......

Will see how Connie is feeling tomorrow re the Pink Ribbon ride.

Yay all set for tomorrow, looks like it going to be a cracker day.

Pauly has a slight problem.....well if you can call it that.

He is being seduced by the sexy yellow 3 legged pommy that usually lives up the hill overlooking Palmy. He is rather taken with her.
Can see the 2 of them are going to have fun tomorrow, but they will have to behave as her father is coming along with us.
