    Johan's VMCC Round 5 - F1

First, my thoughts to the guys involved in the horrible crash in the first race. I hope you are back on your feet soon!

This was my F1 debut, leaving clubmans.
I managed to qualify 20th, so I was on fifth row on the outside, it turned out to be a pretty good spot actually.

I got pretty decent starts with my trusty old twin in all three races and gained quite a few places thanks to this. But I could only keep my pace up in the first race and my best result over the weekend was 13th over the finish line, which I'm very pleased with.

I set a new personal best lap time and am slowly getting my head around Manfeild, and the bike.

To my surprised I managed to score 15 points in total!

    I had an awesome weekend!

Thanks Vicclub for another great event! The dinner and auction was great, I got myself a few pretty good deals!

    cheers

Good to hear ya weekend went well mate !!!!

    Engine oil ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Mate those first 2 races you were hauling. I made a point in the last race not to let you go and pulled it off. Did that camera work in that race cause man we came close to having a major off.

Awesome work out there mate see you at round 6

    Cheers guys!

Ever since 'J Lo' slapped my b**ch in the face at Tapuo she's been on about a revenge!

I was hoping to engage a battle with you when I saw you pass in race 3 but you were too quick for me and my riding was quite inconsistent. I saw you pulling away and I kept dropping all the way to the end.

Unfortunately the camera tilted itself straight down at the end of the first lap so all I got was a perfect close up of the tail fairing.

    Cheers mate!

While it's true there's been a few changes to the exhaust/injection, I think the biggest improvements came from higher corner speed and finally getting some decent speed through and out from the last sweeper (Dunlop?)
I think I was getting higher top speed on the front straight than the back straight, judging from what gear I was in. ( I don't have a speedometer)
