Never ever ever go there if it has been raining hard for any amount of time.
Unless you have an overwhelming desire to push your bike around the track and like falling over a lot,in which case it is ideal.
It needs a week to dry out after lots of rain.

Agreed.Very slippery clay when wet! But when its dry -its fast as with some decent jumps if you hit them at speed and a couple of good hillclimbs and some bumpy downhills too. The B loop can be negotiated by kids as well - my friends 5 yr old rode his DR70Z round it with me once or twice last summer, gutsy little bugger.

Good on ya mate! You will enjoy the sandpit as well.Very different to clay base - when I first went to Sandpit i found that speed made it easier and most of the courses I did standing up on the pegs - you will see when u get out there.Heaps of trails as well. You want any tips before you go -say hello to KTMBoy on here.
    Good luck and have fun,
    Tref.

There were some weird and wonderful bikes raced at peka peka t500 suzuki, with knobblies on tt500 yamahas,RD 350and 400 yamahas, triumphs, BSA,all sorts of early jap mx bikes .I do remember one thing and thats how hard wet sand is at speed had my first highside on that beach and landed right on my head..my wife says ive never been right since those were the days, wish i still had my tm400 still remember the bruises on the back of my calf from when it use to kick back
