It would just be a case of upgrading their dole payments to minimum wage (if not more) and then spending billions of our money to administer the scheme.
Yep that is pretty much how it worked in the 80s. TEP and PEP schemes.

Work for the dole ... work for a minimum age... still think it's the concept of having to WORK that would be a vote loser.

    Talking The Rock and Roll

I hate the Dole Bludgers, but sure I think there should be a helping hand for those desperately in need of help, single families, folks with disabilities. But for farks sake, I have seen it all go wrong in England.

When I was growing up from 19 hundred and 66, there didn't seem to be too many folk on the dole, but as the school system starting changing, "oooo, its all about the taking part" things started to change......bigtime, the competitive side of things dropped out, you were deemed to be a show off if you were great at sports for instance..................from there it went on, I saw those lazy fuckers at school that saw if they couldn't get a job then why should give a fuck as the government would supplement, a huge amount of them would never try to get a job, as a lot of them would supplement their benefit, by working illegally for backhanders.......or stealing of the folk that worked hard for a living.

Those people no matter what nation are the SCUM OF THE EARTH.

There should be a stringent means testing scheme insitu for folk claiming dole.

I can't stand those people that can;t be arsed, I have always worked hard, harder than ever since living here, and any extra money is always so appreciated as I have had to work for it.

I know people that sit on their fat arse doing nothing, no charity work, helping other people, just gleaning off the government or others who work hard.

Everyone should do some sort of work, its good for the heart, the soul, and the social interactment. I only worked part time when I first came here, as it was hard to find a job for the first month or so, but I retrained in computing over here, and started again, and I was used to earning a lot more money...and had the spirit to strive to improve.

Its been the same since gods dog was alive, there are those who work and have the will to go on, and those who don't work and just exist.

Who knows how to deal with it,but its good to see someone try...
"I'm gunna hug ya, and squeeze ya, and call ya George!" "Spread the smile and watch it come back at cha" x

Thank you to those who came to the Garstonian Rally 2009, heads up for the 2010 Rally.......
