    I suspect it's more a case of motorcyclists being by nature individualistic, therefore broadly non-conformist and subsequently at odds with an overly controlling government that can't keep its nose out of your business and its hands out of your pockets.

    Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

    Abso-bloomin-lutely. I don't want people like Helen, or Chris Carter with their hands in my pockets, thank you very much.

    Time for a change away from suffocating nanny state dictates and a party that craves power - and will do anything to retain it - that has lost sight of what it is there to achieve.

    Dingaling BTW.
    P'raps I misunderstood then. Sounded like you were saying:

    You won't vote for Helen because she and Labour crave power too much.
    You will vote for John (despite any other negative attributes) even though you recognise that he, too, craves power.

    In which case I would think there's a word for that.

    I saw about 15 mins in bursts of 3 or 4 mins at a time, it was completely pathetic. All the debate proved was that Helen Clark gets pissed when she doesn't get to have her say and John Key knows this well.

    How is it acceptable that people who are supposed to be political leaders and or role models are allowed to bicker and name call about issues based soley on opinions of an individual? We run a democracy remember the party leader or prime minister doesn't have final say they are part of a vote from essentially a senate of people.

    Its a marketting excersize that only proves the obviousness of the dishonesty of our political leaders, so who should i choose? the most obviously dishonest or the one who hides it better?

    I do find it funny and a little concerning that Key's self promotion is based around business and politics. My aspect of business is that you essentially attempt to provide a product or service to extract as much revenue from the customers (is that tax payers) with the least effort.

    We need a change but is capitolism the direction to take?

    I am not convinced...

    Welcome to democracy. We're winning so why is that sad? It's just unfortunate that we've all lost out over the past 9 years.

    Hey whats been wrong with the last 9 years. The government has run at surplus'es of billions throughout that period!!!! Damn shame I didn't get to see any off it, but someone must have????

    Amazing that when we are now in deficit they can afford to give me a tax break at last???? Politics is so hard to understand (bribes aren't tho)

    Didn't Labour promise 6 years ago at election time to give tax breaks and then Mickey Mouse Cullen said we couldn't afford them with his 5 billion dollar surplus.

    Then Labour asks us to trust them??????

    Nah, what I was was saying, I will vote for 'John' ...(despite any other negative attributes) even though I recognise that he, too, is bad for NZ. Just not as bad.

    That clear enough for you?

    If not, I'll regurge an earlier post:
    Key = Cnut
    Clark = Cnuter

    I reckon National should make an ad with this as the theme song:
