Lucky to be alive i'd say. I've seen the ceramic insulators on a step down transformer melted due to a possum getting to close. It's wierd seeing ceramic melted and coloured red with blood. The possum was quite literally vapourised, we're talking temps of 1200-1500deg C in a fraction of a second.
You'd be dumb to go anywhere near those things without the correct PPE and of course probably shutting the place down or at very least earthing it to somewhere well out of your way.
I guess this just prooves that Darwin doesn't get it right 100% of the time.
