No, but perhaps we could sing you happy birthday at riders briefing?

I'm seriously tempted. Never done a track day before. When you say there's a 'slow' group, how slow exactly? I'm on an '90 gpx250, would i get left behind?
I figure car drivers must be Apes. All they do is sit in cages all day & grunt

The last thing you should worry about is getting left behind, it doesn't matter if you can't keep up with some riders or if you are faster than some riders... Its just a fun thing, a bit of track time, not a race or a chance to prove you are teh awesome, etc. The wee gpx would be fine, we had a handful of scooters (150cc+) at the last day!

The main difference with this day will be the audience - who are there to watch bikes go fast (we're running trackday sessions in between endurance race practice sessions).

I suggest not doing this trackday as a first trackday, just because of the audience and the extra pressure you may perceive.

My first trackday was on my 02 GSX250 (250cc's of furious air cooled power) in group 4. It was the most gutless bike there. Still managed to pass a heap around the outside, but got eaten on straights. Had so much fun I bought a dedicated trackbike a couple of weeks after. In group 4 nobody really cares how fast or slow you are, as long as your not being too much of a menace to others.

Should totally do it. Trackdays arent races, and shouldnt be treated as such (do as I say, not as I do ), so get into it and have some fun.
