Hi,
I have an 84 GSXR400 (GK71B), and would also like to do a street fighter mod on it; need to save up a bit more cash first though.
What bike do you have, and what exactly do you have planned?
Cheers
I just bought a top clamp riser and 'fat' motocross bars for $220 from cycletreads is auckland.
Truth is, street fightering is all about customisation so 'cost' is relative to your know how, and of course who you know.
Assuming by 'studies' you are doing some sort of tech/design class so you should have access to a milling machine/lathe/etc... should be materials only, i did a bit of stuff when i was in 6th/7th form.
Learn how to fibreglass and come up with something truly monstrous!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Sorry for no contact, I've been hospital with pneumonia and only just got home. I have brought a 84 GSXR400 in parts, which I'm picking up in a couple of weekends, which from what I can work out is complete mechanically minus the front end.
I do have access to pretty every tools I'm going to need to make what ever is required either through studies or at home. All I know at the moment is that I want it bare, lean and mean as much as a 400 can be. I pit crewed on one of these in the late 80s when F3 was just started and they were the bike to have. the sound they make when running hot is like no other and their handling I would almost class as art in the hands of some divine beings![]()
