Lower your chances of an accident at Taupo on the 28th

Is there anyone heading down to Taupo from Auckland for the trackday that has a spare space in their trailer for a 999? I've got no mates going, no trailer and no Macgyver like ideas as to how to get down there. Could drive it down but means I'd be pretty weary on the track and probably crash into one of you... So in your best interests that I get a lift. Kidding, I'd be really grateful and pay my way of course.

Let me guess - you forgot that the 29th is Round Taupo, and now you can't find accommodation for love nor money?

    Anthrax speaks troof.

On 28/11, sunrise is at 0556 and sunset is at 2022.

Trackday starts at 0930 ish and finishes at 1630.

The ride takes 3 hours each way if you cruise it via the totally awesome western Kihikihi and Mangakino route.

    The weather will be fine.

    HTFU.

    Shit !!!!!!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    The bus is perfectly comfortable.

It always boggles me how people think they're more likely to fuck their bike up riding at a trackday as opposed to on the road. Tip: you're safer on the track than you are on the way to and from.

yea but binning at 50ks in town compared to how fast on a track??

i have a pack rack which will protect my rear a little if i manage to come off.

but i am not allowed it on the track so would end up doin more said damage.

Last time I binned at 50kph in town I wrote off a $20,000 bike.

Last time I binned at 120kph on a track the damage wasn't worth an insurance claim.

Just don't bin the thing then. And if you do bin you'll sort something out. Or some one will sort it for you while you're in hospital. It's a track day not a race. How the fuck do you people survive without all your cotton wool?
