Watch out for that loose unit on the tiger!!

HaHaHa something like that... but there was a big sting-ee thing hard on me tail. You can tell you're a teacher coming up with stuff like that.

Would of got there tonight but didn't finish till 8. I did see you guys traveling down the motorway. Gave you all a wave from my truck going the other way, but no one was looking. Oh well maybe next week.

Well a few of us made it to Haslwell, the thought F this and went and imposed on Karlas wonderful hospitality and watched Moto GP DVDs and ate fish and chips

There were over 40 bikes there tonight (bout 41 I think) which was awesome! THinking that it was a good idea to split the ride. I think that everyone needs to listen so that they dont get lost, and maybe each group should have a Leader and a TEC. Just my 2c

Good company - still chuckling actually - the night wasn't lost at all, big learning curve. What makes a MotoGP rider fast? Balls ...

    I think that's why I'm a bit slow off the mark ...

Hope the weekend brings calmer weather for all

Well, good IS relative term I guess, compared to Charles Manson we are pretty well behaved.

Well it was a road of attrition to Duvauchalles. 4 road bikes and 3 trailies made it to birdlings flat, against very blustery winds. The trailies went on and I followed to Little River but when they turned off I though I won't be going off the seal twice in one week so I turned round and came home. Bloody toast & 3 minute noodles for tea again

Anyway, Dave seems to keep pushing for a Northern route so I think we might split it. People wanting to go north can. The rest can go to Duvauchelles or whatever. There's always a bunch that aren't keen on going north.
Yes not much fun, that's probably why there needs to be some kind of schedule of destinations such as Bent51 proposed earlier on and if people don't want to go to that weeks destination then they can stay home and knit a scarf or something

Pic1 - Well, when we arrived at Duvauchelle we were only three, all adventurers and all with our wet weather gear on. I guess we all noticed the big dark cloud looming and took appropriate steps in our ride prep.
Pic2- After a short breather there we carried on over to Pigeon bay and up Starvation gully Rd to the top where as you can see it was lovely, warm and sunny. Ok no it wasn't, it was cold and very windy but dry with great views and sheep.
Pic3, 4 & 5- We descended back down Starvation Gully, about 1/4 way down Plug and Matt strayed in front of the camera.
Pic 5 - got to love those winding shingle decents.
Then we worked our way round more dirt roads to Port Levy where we picked up the seal again eventually getting to admire the lights of Lyttelton on the way down to Purau.
Pic6- Purau 9:30pm and now the weather really is good. No wind at all. Plug in the foreground with Lytteltons lights across the water.
After that it was a quiet cruise back round to Governors and over Dyers to get home.
Did see Flip (i think) cruising home the other direction on Dyers.
Good to meet Matt and have him along for the run.

Fish and chips and videos sounds like it would have been good too, but once on the bike and moving it's hard to quit.
    Cheers
    TA.

    Bumma

Bumma bout the weather, got as far as the sign of the kiwi then back home again. Not being rude or anything but heard peeps saying they were going to different destinations and stuff at the BK parking lot?I'm the one who sits at the back(shy as)but I thought it was sposed to be a group ride?No worries or anyfing, but where exactly was that group that went up the "Colombo Hill"going?I had no idea, and also no wet weather gear doh!To echo what others have said,a definitive destination would be great!Sorry if I've offended anyone,it was "o" for awesome to see so many bikes tonight!Dang, might hafta ring up "crook"again next week!See yas on the roads!

    PS:Them R1 riders are WICKED!
