He was a local who lived on the main street, and as he told Silvergrin, Michelle & I "I am normal" ???!!!
We teased him a treat, & it went way over his head!
But we had a great laugh at his expense.

Im sure he was using all his vocal chords whilst planting the 2009 Triumph Rally litrature around on bikes.

From a newbie point of view ... it was absolutely fantastic!!
Bumped into heaps of people I knew, past and present and had many ramblings with many I never layed eyes on before! Then there were the KBers .... well what a bunch of fantastic people!!
The funniest part of the rally for me was waking up 4.30am to extra noise coming from outside the tent. It took me a good 60 seconds to realise it was men snoring!! Well i think the noise was coming from men
Nearly every tent I walked past had some kind of tune coming out of it. I was near on peeing myself before I got to the loos!! Its was classic!

Well I got home today just before 4pm, spent last night in Palmerston North.

I am SOOOO glad I took a punt on the weather despite the forecast - gale force winds & rain, pffft! It was only windy for an hour or two then calm, it was plenty warm enough and completely dry. The only rain I saw was today!

In total since I left Auckland Thursday morning I have travelled 2400kms - go the little scooter that could! I bought it about 3 months ago with 3950kms on the clock and now it has past 12000kms and I'll have to buy another oil filter and give it another service.

Epic trip, great rally, fantastic meeting a whole bunch of KB reprobates. One day I hope to completely block images of Scumdog in his gruds from my memory, but apart from that the rally was great! There is now plenty of photographic evidence of the wayward Helen Of Troy plying anyone with strong spirits that will take it, even attempting to corrupt the disabled!
I will have to sort some photos when I get a chance.

Not sure if those who attended the Magpie know that your photos were taken as you entered Winchester on your bikes?
Photos were displayed at the site on the side of the corogated shed that the burn outs started in.
These photos are up on the Kolourcare site for you to find.

    HOT You are bloody HOT.
Thanks D and R for the usual planning and laughs.
And virgin ladies you were far to well behaved! Loving the docs and the chance of a matchmake

Stay safe kids, hugs not drugs.lol
I think the reason us virgin ladies were well behaved was we couldn't find a lot of you in the early evening... and I know I lost my "mojo" early on... Next time however....

I totally agree with you there.. I was so very concerned about anyone riding/driving around him! He was soo totalled! Talk about dribbling shit!!

I woke up at 5am with the dudes next to me chatting away about going early.. I wanted to say "fancy doing that quietly!". But I was packed and ready to go early so wasn't ALL bad...

Again I have to agree with you !! It was fantastic! And the KB'ers I met (so wanted to meet more but hard to find people in the dark!!!) were awesome! Thanks to Dangerous for making me feel included and part of the group ride etc. Big for Dangerous!

Hope to meet many more of you soon..
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be to short too scratch...

    Friday only

Due to the need to be home on Saturday, I was only able to be at the rally Friday nite. Easy to find camp KB with a number of the usual suspects and a few new faces. First time ever to be at the first nite of a 2-day rally. Good numbers there but easy to find a spot.

Good evening of fine dining, intelligent discussion and good company (not all lies)

Took off Saturday around 9am as it looked like the NW was brewing and not wanting to repeat the tacking into the wind experienced two week previous. Breeze a bit frisky on inland road around Mayfield but no probs. KB rabble passed just before Rakaia bridge - except one. Came across a riderless Guzzi idling on the side of the road at the Rakaia bridge. Helmet and gloves on the ground. That rider was in a hurry thought I. D appears shortly after talking about "taking photos". Euphemistic poetry.

Couple of photos - the Raspberry tart and the GS twins.

Sorry not to stay for the whole rally. Roll on KB3

The group that rode down with Dangerous can find their pics on pages 10, 11 & 12 under the 'Bike Rally Magpie 08' link.

The Southerners that came up can find theirs from page 50 onwards.

    Hope this helps some.
