    Best $100 ever spent!

Spent yesterday with around 70 other riders attending the Hamilton Motorcycle Club's 6th Training Day.

Held on Track 2 (2.2km's) of Taupo Motorsport Park, the day catered for all and sundry with a vast array of bikes and riders.

The format also catered for everyone, with three groups; A-Sports, B-Sports/Tourers and C-Novice/Returning riders.
There was leniency in the format so riders could change groups either up or down if they felt the group they were in wasn't suitable.

The day consisted of revolving track time, classroom discussion and instruction, workshops and practical tuition.

This gave everyone a chance to learn some new things, refresh on some forgotten skills and most importantly practice these skills in a controlled and safe environment.

The calibre of the instrutors was top notch and all were very helpful and giving of their knowledge and experience.

All this and lunch/drinks were provided!

Thanks go out to everyone involved in putting this together, the organisers, instructors (on and off the track), marshalls, ladies for cooking the great BBQ and of course the weather gods (magnificent day!)

Everyone I spoke to absolutely enjoyed the day and are looking forward to next years.

Well done Hamilton Motorcycle Club for being so proactive in this area - a job very well done!

I saw you guys all scooting around the 'fun' half of the track

I was Racing on the other half of the track and it was a little weird seeing bikes riding across at 90 deg in the distance while trying to decide how to attack Turn 1 hehe :P

Ain't that the truth. At one stage I found myself rolling into T1 but staring at some dude riding a sit-up-and-beg-type older bike, going slowly along the sweeper to the chicane.

    Damned near fell off!
