Realistically, how much power are most liter race bikes putting out? 190hp?

Bob has been known to eat some pies - but he prefers steak usually. Followed by lots of his mate Ken - Heineken.
Oh, just for your info, those large spuds you're refering to in Bobs leathers aint spuds mate. Thats why he's NZ's best sidecar passenger!!
Kick, now that we're racing the immensely powerfull BMW sidecar, I'm going on a diet so I can be as fit as possible to be able to control the monster...........
O.k., so I'm losing weight so that we get a better power to weight ratio so it doesn't strain the poor ol girl......
Anyway, what's the story with you calling me fat???? I'm 6 foot and 78 Kgs, you're 5 foot and 100+ what Kgs.........
You'd better, cause kick will do anything to emulate us. If he thinks we eat lots of pies to win, then he'll eat them by the tray full!!!![]()
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??
You've been there and done it mate, so any info is appreciated. Different opinions and theory's are welcomed as different riders can pick and choose and ponder what sounds like it will work for them.
I reckon only the most highly developed bikes would have that sort grunt, at the rear wheel anyway. Your average GSXR with a pipe and power commander is about 165-ish where the tyre meets the tarmac, depending on the dyno.
Im popping my cherry at Whanga's too, see yas down there

I always thought thecompetative nature was the strongest in the chair department , now i am starting to understand ,
....
You all have pie eating envy !!!
Brilliant plan.
PS; Im 6 foot 2 inches as well but im more like 75 kgs
Last year on the 600 we just left manfeild gearing on it, it was good....2nd everywhere plus a bit of 3rd through the cemetry. I woudn't rekon going low on the gearing on a superbike would be that nice. If you can have something that will pull 2nd most of the way, you can focus on having just the right amount of throttle to hover the front end, so your not constantly battling it as you throw it gears. It will also mean that it will be easy to pick a gear for everywhere early (probably 2nd) so you can spend the rest of your day learning the track without constantly worrying how many you have to shift up or down...KISS!

Given the short circuit and relatively low top speed do you gear your bike right down for the full "bull in a china shop" experience? Do leave it with something like Manfeild gearing and just surf the torque, pretending it's a 4 speed 'box?
I've read a few race reports but there's precious little from anybody on a big bike. As tricky as riding say an SV is around there I'm thinkin' a big bike is gonna present a whole different set of problems and any words of wisdom would be appreciated.[/QUOTE]
Mate you're a brave man riding a Superbike round there! If it were me...I'd pull one the plug leads off the fucker!![]()
Meh...... Girls stuff............ (Ask Kiwifruit.....)
Try a 200(+++++) Hp, 280 Kg sidecar around there with a passenger that's more interested in looking at the poon around the track than which way the track is going......
I'm friggin doomed I tell ya........
