Nissan Caravan/Homy dash removal

Does anyone know how to remove the dash on a Nissan Caravan/Homy van? I want to replace the stereo but can't see any obvious screws to get the dash off so I'm guessing they are hidden in the air vents, or the glove box, or behind the rear passenger wheel well or something..

arent they under the top and bottom edge facing up? (i cant remember, its a couple of vehicles ago)

failing that just jamb a screwdriver in and start prying shit, you will soon find out where the screws were.

The first thing you should be removing is the name badge.

Are you sure you need to remove the dash to take the stereo out ? Generally stereos have a couple of little pins hidden on either side. You depress them with a lever, and you can just pull the stereo out.

i think the cheap factory one is set behind the plastic, the only thing you can pull off is the knobs.

Ah, it must be the 16 valve Homy. 8 in the engine and 8 in the radio.

I deal in vans everyday, never needed to pull a dash out to get a stereo out.
Thinking bout it probably half of Auckland has never needed to either.
Check to see if the dash surround is separate (should be) from the complete dash and they usually pop out. Stereo will be held in by 2 factory brackets and probably upto 4 screws, remove these and it should pop straight out.
