Well the two pairs of teknic gloves I've had are approx 3 and 5 years old respectively. I have crashed in both and they are still ok, so I'm not sure if I can comment on that. What model glove did you have? The cordura gloves probably won't hold up as good in a crash as leather gloves.

probably more to do with the model of glove,i'm guessing.

like any brand, there's top of the range, and there's bottom of the range, and everything in between.

I think they were the Chicanes. They looked similar to this but had the hard knuckles:

I've got a pair of Violators at the moment and I can feel the leather is getting a bit thin. Time for an upgrade me thinks. I'm a computer geek so naturally I'm concerned about preserving my fingers!

I've had a set of road boots for about 7 years and they are still doing well. Have almost worn the soles out though.

lol, I have a set of the CHICANE boots, first the zips broke and now the sole on one of replacement boots has totally broken apart, all in the space of 6 months!

I've got a 6 year old 2 piece suit, i forget the model name but it's pertty entry level. It's had years of abuse at the bucket track and only recently needed some stitching repairs. I'd happily look at buying other teknic products.
