it was an exciting race to watch, & as usual endurance racing results can be different to what is expected. 1 bike ran out of fuel in pit lane, 1 came in with gear linkage hanging off, 1 bike crashed twice, 1 superman was seen lying down in pit lane with cramp to his legs, & lost some time, another superman crashed & lost time & the hornet crashed early on then had a rest, & came back out to play later in the drying conditions, the 3rd placed bike did 1 stint with 1 footrest missing. anyway good stuff guys & i am sure andy & i will look at this again next year as all of you & others sound keen.
Thanks for the results racer40.
I just got a text from Chappy for you CM2005.
He says, "... didn't have wets so struggled all day. Came 9th out of 20th. When it dried out I did a lap .5s slower than the record of the day".
So looks like the time Neil and Martin (Sparkybills) put into the dry set-up would have paid off..... Shame they didn't have a wet set-up....
Neil and Lee both have had fun though.
So the Step-Up flag has been flown rather well.

Congrats to all the riders who took part in this event. Was awesome to watch, my feet are still defrosting though!
Burn the rubber not your soul baby!
A great event, I am a bit supprised that I am not at all bummed about binning the Hornet and was glad I could get back out and get a finishers mug. I feel like a real racer now I have scuff marks on my leathers
Well done the winners.
I'll be back next year.

Hi everyone.
Well, after 4 friggin hard out days (Wangy, then my meetings), I can now empty all my shit out of my van, sit down, relax and SLEEP!!
All you riders in the B.A.D.D. endurance race were legends!! The speeds of which you were punting in the wet sent shivers down me spine!!
Interesting to note, there were less crashers in the 3 hour wet racing than in the previous days dry racing!!
BRAVE comes to mind - especially for the guys on road tyres and not full wets!!
As for the supermen, you guys rocked
Another interesting point: At prizegiving, all the teams were present!! That must be a first in NZ racing too!!
After all the stress with getting this going, with only the senior class racing, I have still told Chris that I would like to do this again next year!! I knew I would run at a loss (well, thankfully for me - my business did..... Those good bastards at Taupo Plastics.......), but the sheer thrill of watching you guys out there in those terrible conditions was worth every cent I paid!!
Even the nail biting finish was what I wanted!! Well done to Sketchy and Vtec. You guys are going to go on to much greater things!!
I would love to see 40 bikes do it next year in dry conditions.
All I need now is more punters..................
Awesome guys, AWESOME!!

Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??
good on you Glen and Jason! an inspirational team
Well done Kevin for getting back out there. The conditions were trying even when you had the right equipment. Catch ya at the next race meet.
Well done on organising such a great event and pushing through with it despite the challenges. The active role of the pit crew, strategy and the thrilling finish really added to the atmosphere. What stood out for me was the rider/team excitement/celebrations as the finishing riders returned to the pits. High fives all round !
Well done to Sketchy and vtec on well planned and ridden race. They deserve all the praise given to them.
Congratulations to ALL the riders in the event. Awesome stuff to watch.
What a nerve racking finish from the winning team though... the riders knew what was happening but the whole pit crew was just hoping the tyres lasted and the rider didn't fall off!
Congratulations the Sketchy and Vtec for a well executed race - everything planned well in advance for the best result. Both riding consistent laps without mistake at a good pace.
Congratulations to ALL the Supermen - hard core.
Scrivy, Chris, all the volunteers and helpers: Bloody awesome and thanks. Are the entries open yet for the next TRRS and the 3 Hour?
