    i get about 14km/l on my cbr250.

or 182kms to a tank - including reserve
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Not really, when I'm considering buying a bike it's the tank range I'm really interested in.

If you are doing any touring a minimum range of 300k is desirable. OK, I know people probably tour motards and Harleys but they need to get off the bike when they've done 100k anyway

The Hornet had useful range, and the VFR holds 22l. I do need to work out what mileage I'm getting currently but I should be able to get from New Plymouth to Christchurch with just one refill. I normally do two because there's less tension that way...

About 130 ish k's on the road to a tank. About 70ish on the track with the same bike. 14 litres, GSXR1000.

I constantly get 160 miles out on the main tank (12 litres) on the CBR when using it on the road. I made it drink that in 88 miles when rapping around Manfeild.

The best return I have got from it was the Coast to Coast the other weekend. 4.8l/100k over the 350k's I did two-up too....

Smooth riding is the key to economy. The Training day on the 2.2k Taupo track helped heaps! Incidentally I managed to get 140 miles out of the tank around there too.

DR650 with IMS 18.5 litre tank (actually holds about 19.5litres) I usually get 315km on main plus another 50km on reserve.

Jeez MBB! That seems like a very high consumption rate! Do you ever close the throttle...?

WOW! For a 250cc 14km/l seems really low, riding it hard?

On my 400cc I get anything from 23km/l to 29km/l and typically can get over 300kms from the 13.5l tank. If I rode ~90kph I would average higher, but I tend to be closer to ~110kph on the open road, impatient bastard (impatient, but sick of speeding tickets) that I am.

The Busa runs pretty constant at 15-16km/l, seems more economical at around 4000rpm than it is at 3300rpm, even more so at 4500rpm, but that's in licence losing territory

Usually fill up after 240-250kms, when the reserve light starts coming on, having used approx 12litres of 95/96.

Therefore, technically, 340kms range on a 17l tank @ ~20km/litre. I'm happy with that, esp. as the YZF750R I had previously fuppin well drank the stuff (max 12km/l from what I recall)

    400 km in theory

Riding the BM two-up with luggage we'll see 350 km before the fuel light comes on.
In theory we should get 400km on the 24 litre tank but I've never been game enough to push it THAT far

Yeah, but with auto trans and 199kg dry it should in theory be WORSE on economy than a lighter bike with manual transmission.
