If you know me or have seen the photos you may have to suspend your disbelief for a while when I tell you I was crucible hot as a young pup, girls and young women used to beat a path to my door and then very quickly beat a path away again.

I was a young man born into the way of Men from another era, I rode motorbikes, I drank a lot and I'd duke it out with three big Daves before sleepy time most days. Despite Johny Depp sending me begging letters for beauty tips, my hotness generally lasted a conversation or two before the ladies realised good looks alone are not what dreams are made of. Female friends? not a one, surprisingly.

What makes me hot now?, despite looking like I've gone one round too many with a pit-bull, a bald head and a face that looks like a road map in relief. At the age of 35 I met three wonderful women that let me into their world, slapped me about a lot and made me realise that women are people too, not only that but for the most part much better people than I would ever be.

I genuinely learnt how to see and talk to women as equals, twas the best year of my life and now as a fifty year old with sod all to offer in the hottie department, I have more women friends than ya can shake a stick at. Once they've got past the 'picking up their children and running off stage' they find a genuinely nice, sincere and decent bloke.

It took a long time coming but being someone that sincerely gives a fuck about other people has done more for me than a pretty face ever did.
