I could have tapped you on the back when you came past me in Havelock some of us have to work for a livin and cant go cruising every day. Nice day for a ride though ya lucky people.

Hi. My oldest son (19) is not a member on here. So I promised to find out what rides are happening in HB that he could join in on.

He has a 400cc bike and is a relatively safe rider, nothing over the top. Sadly none of his mates ride, so the bike ends up sitting there often. He is not looking for anything fancy, probably whatever is going on. Anything from an hour to a day. And any day of the week.

As he does bar work he has different shifts most weeks.

I tried to find out here, but gave up as most entries in this thread is just comments.

Anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Please PM me with any info or post here.

I am a relative newbie on here but being the first to read your post will reply.

Anyone who feels like a ride meets at the BP in Taradale Rd, napier at 1.30pm on a Saturday. Cater for all riders from advanced through to learners. A tail end charlie will keep an eye on the less experienced riders. We are ususally out till around 4ish or so. Can be 2 of us through to half a dpzen or more.

There is a group who leaves from the Taradale Rd Mobil Station at 5.30p on Wednesdays. They tend to be more experienced faster riders so probably not the best to aim for.

Sometimes we will do a longer trips and they will be organised and posted before hand. last Sunday we left at 11 and went to wairoa for lunch on the riverbank. Just before Xmas it was a Sunday ride leaving at 7am and we went through to taupo for breakfast and then around the lake/. Approx 500k all up (one of us only did about half of that, but thats another story eh Tony

). Had a guy on a 150 come along and Donna on her Honda 250.

There is also some talk about maybe also doing a Sunday ride for those who cant make Saturday arvos ... watch this space!

Does anyone know where I can get one of those ear pieces from for the radar other than DSE. Went into the napier shop and apparently they dont stock them any more!

Brand and model number if anyone has it and i will search the DSE website to see if an other stores have them.

Cheers thanks rob. Phoned the Hastings store and despite showing stock on the net, they are out. Mite have to be a ride to Gisborne or masterton

Was'nt far behind you, actually did 402kms by the time I came from home/Taupo/looked for youse/back to Taupo looking for DSE/back home.
So not too bad a ride afterall.

Just got home now, done the HW50/Patangata for lunch loop/Middle Rd/Havelock/Haumoana with the neighbour on his Duc.
Fuckin hot out there even riding into the breeze.

Im a VIP member at DSE so purchase one via the net. Or i can get someone to go to the Gisborne shop and get one.
