Nigerian bikers wearing pumpkin shells to avoid helmet law!

Motorcyclists in Nigeria – faced with a new law making it mandatory to wear a crash helmet – have been wearing dried pumpkin shells to avoid buying one!

Kano Federal Road Safety Commission commander Yusuf Garba said they were taking a hard line with people found using pumpkins "We are impounding their bikes and want to take them to court so they can explain why they think wearing a calabash is good enough for their safety," he said. Calabashes are dried pumpkin shells more commonly used to carry liquid.

It's possibly better than the dried pumpkin shell they use to carry their brain.

They'll be able to afford new helmets soon.

Just supply them with your bank account number so they can launder,..err I mean,..transfer funds into a Cayman Island bank account.......
