Hey I am terribly sorry to hear the news. But we are all glad that you are ok...

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I have caught up and surveyed the domain that is the residing place of the Hornet swarm ride ...

and I am pleased! Glad to see people are still out there doing it and finding excuses to be riding!

Since I am now back from my sabbatical to the South Island, I shall be in attendance again to ensure that the essence of pootling around at night on an odd day is preserved!

    Mmmmm moar riding ...

Well I had a quiet pootle down the Hunuas, to Mercer to SH22 and back again, lil'ol'hornet was buzzing around nicely and the roads were nice apart from the melted tar!

Had some literal sticky moments, the worse on the way back when my tyres going around a left 35kph decided to slide right across into the other lane!

    Arse. Clenching. Moments.

I tussled with throttle, light braking and looking to where I was going and somehow managed to haul us back into the right lane. Very very scary.

Was a sedate ride back contemplating how fast it was and how easy it could have been all over rover!

Take care out there peeps! I couldn't believe after 6000km+ in the SI, that one little 230km trip could have resulted in me not riding back from it!

Plus side, I got to post and live and learn from it!

I just did (and amazingly it was) quick ride with GI JOE who does not stop! He promised a wee ride to show me where you guys go.... and I think for the first time ever, actually did make it short!

Great little ride. Dropped me off and then pootled off somewhere else.

That boy should change his name to crazy pootler.
