Smile 250cc LEARNER Ride to Kai Iwi Lakes for a Swim - SUNDAY 25th JAN

250cc LEARNER Ride to Kai Iwi Lakes for a Swim - SUNDAY 25th JANUARY

Who: Anyone who is a learner or would like a slow cruise with the learners/250cc.

Time: meet at shell westgate at 9:00 am , and depart 9:30 am

Distance: around 200km one way with plenty of stops for rest/toilet/drink/fuel

Pace: SLOW and LEGAL - Good for learners - MAXIMUM 100km/h

Roads: Variety of road conditions good for getting some confidence on the open road.

    Swimming not compulsory.

    What you need to bring:

Swimware - its not a nudist beach
Sun Screan - those of us that have a tendancy for turning into tomatoes under the sun.
Petrol money - kinda obvious but we have had cases where people show up thinking that someone else will buy petrol for them - not the case.
    Bike in good working order.
Motorcycle protection gear - if you show up in shorts and a T-shirt without armoured gear , you will be sent home.

    Registration here - http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...&day=2009-1-25

P.S. Ride will be postponed if stormy weather is expected. Updates will be made in this first post and in the discussion thread day prior to the ride if something changes.

Lol there was that time i forgot my wallet to a ride. thankfully it was only a short pootle and only used half the tank so didn't need to borrow money for a top up anyway

when i see riders in shorts & tshirt at the lights i secretly want to tip them over to teach them a lesson. but that's an evil, evil thought. and it's not my business whether they choose to wear gear or not. >_<

but good on you for enforcing good gear!
