what tyres should i get for my hyosung? i want nice affordable tyres that dont have the grip that the shitko's have, i dont like the feeling of plastic tyres haha.

Shinkos are affordable Good bike tires aren't that cheap but worth it. Pirelli Sport Demons are good. My wifes GT is riding on Dunlop GPR100's which aren't bad. I'm still on the Shinkos on the GV.

Battlax BT45's are what i'd ride on from past experience, but a lot of people reckon sport demon's are good too

I agree with Gubb and Mr. Speights. I've got them on mine at the moment and they are great, you can do stoppies on them!!

Don't ever try doing stoppies on Shinkos.........

Just replaced my bald shinkos with Pirelli Sport Demons... The bike rides much MUCH nicer now. They were about $400. I havent had any experience with any other tires so I cant offer a comparison.

hmmm thanks for the advice guys but i do alot of commuting, dont really want square tyres cos of a soft compound,

or will the BT45's be sweet?

They last for ages too....my front has done about 16,000 k's and my rear has done about 12,000 and still going strong...not to mention nice lean angles

Try the conti road attack, same dual compound, i'm running them on my 650 and they're bloody, good, would reccommend a "sport attack" front and "road attack" rear, seems to be a popular combination, and i'd have done that had I known.(hind-sights fucken wonderful.....lol)

They heat up quickly, good grip in the wet, good on corners, and last on straights....they're considered a sports touring tyre with the grip of a sports tyre.....which is cool.

Well that's how it was explained to me, maybe it was a comparison?

What I DO know, is that they last, and are popular with those that have used them, and offer awesome grip and longevity, for commuting and sport riding.

I was told the same thing a few months ago (by a bike shop) when looking for a suitable alternative to the PR2s. Upon researching, I found it to not be the case. Good tyres, yes. But not dual compound. And unlikely to last like PR2s do.
