Sorry folks, didn't make this one. Got a double whammy of a throat infection that's still lingering and a mate of mine had a nasty bike accident and is now in hospital so I'll be visiting him instead. Hope you all have a good time!

    Thanks!

Thanks very much Toto for organising the ride today to Kai Iwi Lakes.

Seemed to work very well splitting the ride group in two.

Awesome weather, I hope we have a few more weekend rides like this still to come.

... or not, after being told by my mate's parents that he's not up for visitors I salvaged what was left of the day and got to Dargaville before hitting the slow group coming home. Hi-jinx ensued. I blame Gremlin for being a bad influence.

Yea, sadly I witnessed the outcome... 2 bikes on the side of the motorway, probably about 400m apart, each with a mufti behind them

Aside from that.... awsome ride today guys! Great group to ride with! Shame I fell off the pace at the end, but the days riding 2 up had taken it's toll and the body was saying NO!

My poor pillion is absolutely stuffed! But she's a trooper, and loved every minute of! (although requested future rides I bring her on be a tad shorter )

Hope everyone got home in one piece.... some nasty melts out there.

Finally home after 590 km & 12 hours. Good run down the twin bridges, I don't know what "big rocks on the road" Toto was on about, as the road was pretty easy. Got to Warkworth & there was chaos about the new tunnel, so did Woodcocks road on the way home as well!!!

    Top day

    What a day!.

Stinking hot. Awesome roads, apart from the liquid tar bit that nearly sent me off. No cops until Dargaville, then they started.

If you're the unlucky bugger who apparently also got pulled over on the Shore, please PM me. Maybe we could share a lawyer.

Hoped you checked your tyres after being with him as well!

And Gremlin being a bad influence is like saying that most men have a pr0nographic memory, blardy obvious!
