Normally Saurday 1.30 BP, Taradale Rd, but its been hit or miss to who, or how many turn up.
There has been discussion recently that we may do some Sunday rides starting late morning and spending most of the day out, but nothing's set yet.
Dale & I were talking about a ride to the Palmy bike display thats currently on there yesteday.
Possibly within the next few weeks.

I have'nt been on the Mobil rides mid week, but think they're not KB related, and are quite 'spirited' rides.
Dave, 'Morepower' off here would be the one to contact over those.

    Manfield

What a great day yesterday at Manfield! Was awesome to come in after the 3rd session and see Tony with a big smile on his face .

The VTR went really well never mssing a beat. Was hitting 8000 RPMs (9500RPM redline) in 6th by the end of the back straight so almost maxed out. Scraped the footpegs a few times and when washing the bike this arvo noticed road rash on the side of the belly fairing so must have been getting her over a bit! Had a couple of moments, as you do, with the front tyre chirping under breaks at the end of the front straight, had the back slew out once when a bit to keen to get the power on coming out of a corner, and almost did a Tony at the end of the back straight when was pushing hard and deep to get past a Speed triple, managed to stay on the black stuff and hit the apex on the exit .

As Tony has said, Patrick is a great rider, blasting past us through the S's etc, quite humbling!

Thanks Tony and Tina for the hospitality Friday nite and the picnic lunch Saturday. Was nice to have Tina there giving us both plenty of encouragement.

Patrick was on his RG once when he took me in the esses, then he rode Dan's GSX, when he took me again!!!

I followed him for a bit on his Zuki, watched him ride sweet. Real talent there.
Could catch him on the straights of course with my better top end with the more ccs, but no point trying to pass as the young fulla would just carve me up again round the bends. So best just let the experts go for it eh
Was a real learn alright, passed quite a few race 2 strokes but they would fly by round the bends leant right over if I had'nt got a good length on them before the corner.

I got a lot to learn and work on, but thats the fun eh.

Ahh ya gotta love it, all good!!!
Now you no why we come back smiling but not the last time

The Sunday ride idea certainly appeals.

Will keep an eye out for developments.

Dale's were'nt too bad. He had consistant wear all over the tread when we were checking out our tyres. His were Pirellis and I think he had them at 36.

I had my 2CTs at 30 and being soft on the outsides I have big chunks of rubber hanging off mine now.
    But they sure gripped.

And if you're the guy I think you are, we were the group that were at Wairoa by the river, when you were with John Leswick, a short while back.
You rode back a bit with us.

    Guys.

Just talking to a bloke I know thru work, he's in the Classic Club, and they hold a ride every last Sat of month and he said they're riding this Sat.
Open to all bikes, and its mostly modern stuff including Japs etc.

Given the hit or miss situation we've been having about folk turning up to BP for our rides and with Rob & George's bikes out of action the numbers will be few or zilch I thought I might go on this ride this Sat.
So why don't any of you who can come too.

They meet or leave at Clive BP at 1.00 on Sat, go for a decent ride then end up at their clubrooms opposite the prison at Bridge Pa for beers etc.

    Sounds good.

    What ya reckon?
