    Sponsorship

Has anyone ever pursued the idea of getting outside sponsorship for their bucket racing?

Given that the costs for buckets arent particularly huge, do you think that sponsorship would be a bit over the top?

Have thought about it and then thought from a potential sponsers point of view what has buckets got to offer them, I came to the conclusion sweet fook all.

    And then I stopped thinking.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

I also got a demon deal from Crazefox for painting Lady Penelope and he's emblazoned his company name on her so that is a semi-sponsorship deal.

I'm working on an idea of a race series at Kaitoke, ie a 3-4 round event sponsored by a "shop" or 2 that may be interested.....

I was thinking more along the lines of Big Ben, Double Brown, and L&P.

    Stop thinking.

Buckets is fun. Sponsorship means results must be shown for the sponsor and it all gets too serious.

Being slow allows spectators to read your sponsors messages better.

My bike didn't cost me that much about $1000 at a guess

and most of it was paid for by the sponsor

    thanks Dad
    oy year and ESE Ltd

oh if you can get a sponsor go for it dont let anyone tell you buckets can do nothing for a sponsor
I have had a lot of interest in the bike and am just waiting for someone to throw stickers on it
but in reality you wont get much from anyone

    I have had
    cheap tires
    free gass
    free oil
    lots of second hand parts
more time than can be remembered
    cheaper new parts
    and free stickers

    thanks again

and I have only won 2 races
    and about the same seconds
but the bike is out there rain or shine
    and it never gives up
I would be hard pressed to remeber when it let me down and I never crossed the finish line without going to hospital
