Please provide a proper close up - remove the piston from the photo for clarity...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

    He's a dirty bastard.

I have to say I am impressed, even I havent been able to destroy a piston to such the same degree!!

There is hope though. There will be many people around that can help your mate out. New piston, rebore and he'll be away and racing with us in Street stock in May. I'll find out the websites that offer cheaper aftermarket parts that he can check out tonite.

Depending on how much damage he's done he may just be able to get away with a piston kit (gudgeon pins included). Not sure but you'll prob have to get the conrod seprately... How's the crank looking? Its a bitch trying to get these engines apart without the appropriate tools, damn fly wheels! Any way I have blown alot (alot is not the word!) of these babies up so I am experienced in repairing them as cheap as possible should you require more info....

Well lets just say he has a frame....it totally fucked everything
He is actually getting a new race bike tonight, a zx6r - hello F2, its quite exciting, but I wouldn't mind checking the prices, I may be able to haggle it off him
And yes I know about the joys of flywheels my RGV is getting a new one tomorrow yay!

    Oh, ouchies!! Is he OK?

Well if he's given up on it completely..... What's he doing with the frame? My partner (koba) and I both race RG's and you can never have too many frames/engines/all other parts for them!

However, if you want to I reccommend that you try and get it of him and fix it up. That way you can have 2 2 smokers, that way at least one of the might work at any given time, eh!

Yeah he is fine... like a kid on christmas eve waiting for the new bike to be dropped at our house tonight!!!
Not sure yet...like I say have a look at how much for an engine, one of our other friends is thinking about buying it, to be honest I would love it but really don't have the money since the recent move
And yes it would be nice to actually have a functioning bike at all times, but alas student income doesnt always allow that
Will also let him know your interested..
