Arrow SMF - Super Maori Fullas' ride against family violence (Feb 2009)

Super Maori Fulla’s Charitable Trust is four brothers from Northland (Kaitaia) who don’t tolerate or condone family violence. They want to spread the Super Maori Fulla message of love and respect for partners and family. The four SMF and their 2008/2009 Harley Davidson’s are touring the ‘It’s not OK’ message on a unique 23 day attention-grabbing motorcycle road trip during February 2009. It starts 6 February 2009 Waitangi Day – a day of hope and celebration.

Super Maori Fulla’s are Jack Paki and his three brothers Merv, Roger and Mathew Rawiri. They have formed a charitable trust and their patron is Sir Paul Reeves. Also involved is their cousin Pio Terei – singer, actor and comedian who will be joining the brothers at selected events along the way. He will add his unique humour and human insights to the Super Maori Fullas message.

SMF is essentially a good news story and anybody can be a SMF – regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion… as long as they adopt the SMF code of love, attention, respect and care. They believe mums, dads, uncles, aunties, cousins and kids can all be Super Maori Fullas by being loving, caring and respectful of others. They believe in non-violence and are taking this message to the road…and you are invited to join them.

If you get the chance to ride with the SME (super Maori Fullas ) thay would love it. I did the first leg with them from Kaitaia to Cape Reinga and back to Kaitaia and it was a great ride and I falt like is was one of them even with my baby suzuki 250 and never riden as part of a groop befor. I hope that there mesige gets out there that there is no room in NZ for family violence and to the SMF have a great ride my god be with you in your ride to keep you safe.

I'll second that! (Well, third actually)

Makes mental note: The four brothers sure do look like peas outa the same pod, don't they!

See! Harley's can be used for good, as well as evil!

Hope it all goes well for them. Cheers, John.

PS: Probably could create a lot more public interest if they were riding " TRIUMPH'S " but second best is better than third, I suppose!

Met one of the guys at Bombay PB last night, when coming back from Paeroa. Spare a thought for the guy driving the support truck.

Apparently he couldn't handle all the driving, and bought himself a new Harley during the trip, carried it in the truck, and took it out for the odd rides he could manage.

    Good on them!
