Gentlemen, to put things in prospective, there is not much difference between how this blog portrays NZ and how NZ Herald portrays Israel. Both are a collection of wild canards, distortion, and outright libel. Welcome to my world. Just my $0.02.

Wow! the 1300 dead palestinians are a figment of the media's imagination? I never realised that. Nope sorry - they are real enough it's just theat the dehuminisation of the Palestinians by the Isrealis is complete in the minds of the small minded...and their imaginary contradictory friend who says thou shalt not kill but go steal land and blow up the owners.....repeatedly.

Mind you it's been going on for so long and the participants on BOTH sides are so locked into perpetual hatred, that these days I just sit back grab a beer and treat it as a crap tv show for my nightly entertainment.

I do that every night at 6 o-clock.Had a special treat the other night when i tuned into the welfare channel to find my dollar had gone further ie it was in Spanish.

I'm not taking sides, but sometimes I do think the World section of the Herald should really be moved into the Opinion section.

I do hear of lots of asians getting randomly beaten for no reason... shame on them for not being able to pull out some Wing Chun...

Thank you for proving my point, McJim. As journalists put it these days, when there is a conflict between gore and context, gore always wins because small minded people crave it. They do not want to bother themselves with the question what really happens, or why. They got their primitive version of worldview from the idiot box and they make a stand from the safety of their armchairs because it makes them feel good about themselves. Yes, they say 1300 casualties on one side (although independent sources say this claim is exaggerated) and 13 on another. Have you ever thought about finding out why there is such a disbalance? Has any "newssource" asked or answered the same question? Must be a wholesale slaughter, why else? Gee, I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that residents of southern Israel have spent a good part of last several years in bomb shelters, and that Hamas government has built none for their subjects before provoking its neighbor with indiscriminate bombardment of civilian population. I wonder if it could possibly have something to do with civilian structures rigged for secondary explosions and then used for launching missiles, knowing full well that the launch site is likely to be attacked? Now who is small minded now? The dehumanization is going on, alright, but it is taking places on the pages of Independent and reprinted in NZ Herald, and you seem to be absorbing it at the alarming rate.
P.S. Over the years I found that when people are switching "e" and "a" in the word Israel it seems to be a pretty good indication of an agenda. Thanks again.
Oh and one more thing: the blogger is a kook, but most of his links are authentic. That's in case you are going to reply that context in which news are presented is irrelevant.

Yes - but the links dont support the idiots commentary - so yes they are irrelevant.

Yeah, pretty much. There are Palestinian Doctors working there with no incentive like say selling newspapers or enticing viewers who are stating that the estimates are well overinflated.

Of course, an even bigger figment of the media's imagination would be that they don't deserve to get pounded for firing rockets indiscriminately at civillians in Israel. But I digress...
