    VCR 2009
What is the VCR, why do people on two wheeled forward movement contraptions converge on this spot? Well we decided to leave our place of residence on 6th of February around 11:00-11:30 to find out. The two wheeled forward movement contraptions were already preloaded with various life saving equipment and supplies we were ready to go. All we had to do was actually just go, as one does in these situations we left.

The sunlight hours was going to be great, it was not too hot, nor to was it too cold and there was no wind (till soon after). Stopping in a district called Palmerston we decided to put some spark plug firing liquid into the mobile movement machines. We were then able to continue up what is known as the Pig Route. I did not see any pigs on this route nor any evidence or signs that there are actual pigs in the vicinity.

Continuing through the warren of curves and over large mounds of earth we came across living settlement. It was a quant rural community and was able to supply more spark plug firing liquid for my two wheeled forward movement contraption. I didn’t need it but the two wheeled forward movement contraption would be running E for enough on the spark plug firing liquid gauging device upon arrival at our destination.

Leaving the quant community as we found out later called Ranfurly we strike some wind. Now being on two wheeled contraptions, this can make that interesting and well for the smaller two wheeled machine it became a little annoying.

Arriving at the destination early we decided to visit relations in the region and was promptly served up a cup of hot brown liquid… looking at this liquid I am not sure what it was but my instincts were going in to over drive and greedily drunk. It was good.

Receiving messages via the invisible messaging network we learnt that there were others habitants already on site and it was decided that we would continue to join them. Arriving we found a tent city had already been built. So we found a spot and added to the urban sprawl. Once our base camp had been set up I decide to take off the cow hide protection paraphernalia and dress more appropriately.

There was a large congregation of beings that also rode these two wheeled forward movement contraption , it appeared to be meeting area with in the tent metropolis so it was decided to grab some survival liquid and gather with this larger faction. While we were here we noticed the continuous flow of new mechanical motorized mobility scooters arriving all the time, the urban sprawl continued.

I had a strange feeling in my abdomen and I realised I needed sustenance, so I wondered over to a supplement outlet and ordered what Jimmy calls a pie. They required something called currency. I was unsure what this meant. As I watched another being order nourishment they in return handed over metallic objects which I believe was this. I needed to get some of these metallic objects as they seem to be needed if you wanted anything.

I was slowly running out of my survival liquid and needed to get my hands on some legal tender. So in the early hours I proceeded to back to temporary accommodation for rest of my optical inputs.

Day light hours arrived and it was decide to travel into the larger township of Alexandra for our morning nourishment. We then readied ourselves for the water blocker tour of the Clyde Dam. The dam itself is impressive how ever I think they must have run out of concrete as it had holes through out and was always leaking. The dam was going to do a spill, apparently they need to test the spillways once a month and damit I got wet. It was remarkable watching the tail wash as it spilled over the bowl shaped basin, all designed to dissipate the force of the h2o on the spill.

By the time we had finished the water blocker tour we were in need of rations to fill my appetite for a product called food. I did not need local currency for this as they appeared to accepted my data-transfer of credits to their bank.

Back at the Rally site there were still more beings and more two wheeled forwarded movement contraptions had arrived and there was a steady flow of yet even more coming down the entrance way. I do not know the numbers.

As the partying began it was noticed that the local dialect was getting harder to understand. The Dialect was more freely spoken but after awhile my audible ranging aids were able to decypher most of it.

Further in to the evening as the other beings started to drink their life survival fluid, stories were being told, war wounds were shown and compared. These stories were of the fight against the cage, and some lucky escapes from the great cage called, “Campervan”. Many of these stories will stand the test of time as they will be told by bards in the future. They will become greats resembling the story of Beowulf.

Various picturegrafix were chipped into stone so that the memories can live on until the end of time and our off spring will look at these picturegrafix and will try to tell the great stories of "Campervan"

Further in to the hours of darkness again my visual optics, audible output and motor functions was beginning to fail so I decided to go and recharge my power cells. I was quiet as a mouse and did not trip over any trip wires traps and was able to get into the accommodation with out an issue… it was a “by the book” operation that went with out a hitch!

The following morning I could see and hear the disassembling of the tent city, and before we knew it the city shrunk. With all our contraptions loaded we were ready to go when I noticed out of the corner of my left optical input device that one of the mechanical mobility scooters was having character issues trouble starting its internal combustion engine. We had to unload this contraption of its luggage so we could get access to the components and attempt repairs.

We eventually got movement and we started out voyage home.

So what is the VCR, why do people on two wheeled forward movement contraptions converge on this spot? Simple yet put its a fun place to be, nobody cares that you motor functions are not perfect and nobody cares about what type of scooter you ride. A great thing to try...

    Picturegrafix can be found here.

No Ian, you did not enjoy yourself. I can assure you that you were poisoned by some liquid or another, and frustrated by the sight of topless females. You had a horrible time, so you'll have to come back next year and put matters right.
    Time to ride

We are very particular on who we let have passports for the mainland unless we are after some fresh sport[/QUOTE]

Gareth51 and sels1 are both first generation north islanders, surely travel visa's could be extended to allow unlimited entry to the mainland?
Well....it seemed like a good idea at the time....
