Really? Does Karel hold the record?

I was under the impression the New Zealand Womens Motorcycle Land speed record was held by Vikki Striefler (sorry if I spelt it wrong) who will be in attendance.

Piss off you. At least I was within spitting distance of Koba and Limbimtimwim. Mind you...how bad are those injuries? And first timers really should take their time up there getting used to the climb.

I am assured that the road will be in better nick than last year.

I have asked if the ruts (corrugations from truck use) could be repaired with concrete or asphalt - probably unlikely given the cost but no harm in asking.

Failing that - I have suggested that corrugations are preferable to loose gravel.

Had a slow ride up the hill on Sunday to have a close look .

Overall I think the road is in better condition than last year. There's still a bit of loose chip from recent re-sealling but a month of cars going over it could be all it needs to clear that up.

Most of the loose chip seemed to be in the oncoming lane but again , was better than last year. Riders may need to watch the left , left right combo after the fastest section. Otherwise the sections that had loose chip last year are good now.

Are there any Supplementaries around noise Deano?

Any possibility of a bucket class? The one good SV in our household is bagsed so I thought I'd hotrod the sled and see If I can get to the top without:

a: Backing off (should be no problem, see below)

b: Falling asleep (should be no problem, see below*)

c: getting overtaken by the following rider (that could be a problem!)

*I'm also going for the only bike that can be heard entering the Cliffhanger corner from the pits.

Look you dumbarse. How many bikes do me and koba have between us.... eh, eh! I'll be taking my RG up and maybe the FXR for someone else if its needed. Im not sure which bike Moo is intending on riding yet but we will most likely have at least 1 maybe 2 bikes going spare. Talk to Malcolm nicely...

It's the cheapo repairs that cause the loose chip Deano - they just chip-seal in to fill the (longitudinal) wheel ruts. `Bit' sealing never works. Get the council just sweep the existing repairs. Its cheap and the roading maintenance contractor should be doing it anyway.
Pity its now a main truck route aye? Used to be mint.
