What's this? A man who doesn't subscribe to the belief that Valentines day is a total load of crap and that it isn't just a made up day to line the pockets of retailers. Don't tell me also that you believe it is a symbolic day dedicated to celebrating your love and spoiling your special one

Actually, it's not!

Wikipedia tells me that Geoffrey Chaucer, in 1382, was the first to associate the day of St Valentine (which may or may not have been 14 February at that point) with romantic love.

So, while the greeting card industry may have capitalised on the day and had a hand in establishing it in its modern form since the mid nineteenth century, it does have a reasonably weighty history.

I learn something every day.

And, given the above, I think I might have to arrange a little something at short notice.

I've just been rather bored lately with comments I have heard from men who clearly would prefer that girls subscribe to the belief that it is a total crock, in order to assure that their women will not be too upset and shitty with them because they choose to make no effort on this day.

Shes asleep at home I am at work......
Put the candles around the bath, got her a small bottle of bubbley and a choc rose, and those rose pettels to put in the bath.
So she can have a nice soak in the bath today drink some wine and eat her rose, get herself ready. tonight I am taking her out to dinner at her fave place......... WILDFIRE

Thanks for the reminder guys, Im off to get my woman some chain lube and maybe some oil for the next service( the Mrs is way overdue for a service). Happy Valentines...............
