sorryI was so lucky to be with Swann. He came stright away after I got in touch with them..... he saw it said it was a write off and I had the money in my account a day later.

no worries. I think I'll be reviewing my insurance options next time...
has developed a love of big fours. WTF!
Excess on the insurance is $1649x lots.
Bollocks to it, they write it off I'm buying it back off them if I can. Decision by tomorrow apparently...

*shrugs* it's because of my licence and the fact it was a single-vehicle accident apparently. It is a bit random though...

RB suspect the forks are bent. Appraisal should be in by the end of today. I'm kinda reeling from all this, feel like I've been through the grinder. I haven't slept for worrying about it and I'm starting to worry I'm got going to be able to afford any bike at all after all this.
One stupid fucking bin. I'm losing my good humour...

If its written off and you choose to buy back, do not fear as there are plenty of parts out there to fix it up to at least road going condition (forks included), then you'll still be mobile and can decide if you'll get another bike or fix it up fully as funds allow.
If you do buy it back have them keep it registered
Cheers folks. Just having to contend with still not getting paid yet (work made a, shall we say, mess of things), the start of term, kids being somewhat difficult and my beloved Kwaka being held hostage in Red Baron.
Have sort of made the decision to get her back one way or the other, I need to get riding again!

That seems like a very retarded number... And excessively high even considering the circumstances. If it's that bad, it kinda makes one wonder as to the point of insurance? Personally i dont have it for the bike should i crash it, but in case i should crash into a $300,000 car... a bit of dosh fixing up my own silly mistake i can live with, but it's the possibility of bein fucked for someone else's toy that puts the fear of God into me and makes me suck it up every time that bill comes in.
Best solution may be to cancel the claim and do it y'self. Lay on some beers and round up some mates, surely with a weekends effort you could have it road-legal fighter, then take your time fixing up the fairings if you so please
IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!!
Do the peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat!
I did that with my oldest sons NV400. (Did not invite anyone around, so more beers for me...) Got a s/h parts bike for $250, then spent some time mixing and matching, painting black and modifying. He is now happily riding her again. And I even fixed some of those bits that he planned to have done tomorrow...
They promised to phone this arvo.
Cynicism. I have it.
