Gonna be in Palmy in about an hour and a half, already PM'ed Owl (noticed he was online at the time) about meeting for a coffee and chat (have'nt heard back yet), feel free to come along if you're at a loose end and want to kill some time. Any idea's for a venue?

Edit: Time to meet for coffee is now 4:15 PM, a venue can be decided by text if necessary but will be in the street that Cuba st cafe intersects with so it it sould'nt be difficult to find for those interested.

I notice that in the new Community / Social groups, most, nearly all groups are under regional groups but Manawatu Riders has been put under general drivel? Could this be fixed by one of the Mods perhaps.

Edit. Done. Gee that was quick.

It works for people who ride their bikes. Speaking of which how is the new stringing of the armchair coming along?

    Right time for a rant...

They say bad things come in 3's. Well do they? What happens after the 3rd bad thing? Do the following count as bad enough for something good to happy (I was thinking powerball):

    • Puncture on East Cape (ok easy to fix so not too bad)
    • Loosing my clip on sunnies yesterday
    • And this has to count: car broken into at work (window smashed, broad daylight) and radar detector, ipod transmitter snatched.

    Thoughts?

I don't like this bad luck in 3's stuff.

#1 Got a phone call from boss at work (school) Saturday afternoon. Tech room alarm went off. Drove over and checked it out to find smashed 1 litre cans of paint outside. Little bottles of paint and vivids missing and paint splashed over floor, outside of buildings and grass, graffiti (tags in vivid on walls). Nothing valuable taken. Secured everything and went home.

#2 Arrived this morning to find caretaker cleaning new graffiti off inside walls, machines, etc. They came back Saturday night and even had time to turn on some equipment and have a play. Lots of tagging. Again nothing valuable taken. Cost is negligible other than time and frustration. I really appreciate our caretaker right now. Small gangs of juveniles roaming all weekend. Room secured to next level.

I am still waiting for #3

I always take it off the windscreen up town etc but in the carpark at work - nope! I was about 30 feet away in my office - never heard a thing. People everywhere too.

Ended up taking the car home before the rain came but got wet on the Honda on the way back to work. Insured but still haven't seen the cops yet...
