2009 race season RG50 prep
I tried on my engineers hat and tapped some threads onto my swingarm to fit it with grease NIPPLES...mmmm nipples...sorry where was I...these are to ensure the bushes are kept nice and lubricated. Unlike the ones we replaced which were hideously crusty and quite saggy and baggy.
Was all quite exciting really![]()
Had to drill holes in awkward places and then cut the threads all by my self. Thankfully I didn't cock it up and the swingarm is now where it rightfully should be all ready to go.
I also got to use the angle grinder - screws too long they kept interferring with the swingarm...NO MORE! Showery sparks of hotness everywhere - I do love power tools!!!!!
Also repainted the rear wheel - now it looks purdy and matches the front wheel.
Now just have to set up some tubing to run into the purdy silver catch bottle I mounted and my wee machine is ready
This year I want to get to grips with carrying more entry speed and of course get smoother at the clutch dragging thing to allow me to maintain more corner speed too...rock on the 22nd at Kaitoke I say
Thanks to my lovely man for teaching me everything and supervising me to be sure I don't wreck anything
NOW I just need to come up with a name for it...though Sully says it already has one and will probably spank me for renaming it - meh - I like his spankings anyway![]()
