To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
Folks I've just spent a fairly long time talking to Mr Mort on the phone.
It seems to me after talking that he and I have a very similar outlook to trackdays in NZ--even if we have somewhat different ways of expressing ourselves.
A message sent to me via PM led me to believe there was a very good chance of him instigating legal action against me if things went wrong at this track day.
I feel that that isnt the case after talking to him "in person"

Yes we have spoken.. and yes it would have been good to be a fly on the wall...
First off... I should say that I didn't send the PM referred to above nor had I ANY intention of taking any form of legal action against Frosty. I am no Track day fink. Frosty will confirm that I believe.
Second... It would have helped Frosty's understanding of my points if I was not on his ignore list and he was able to actually read them. As a result, a significant amount of misunderstanding and hearsay occurred.
Frosty and I spoke at length. We have agreed that we are both on the same page when it comes to track days. We are both enthusiasts and we both want the best possible New Zealand Trackday scene. I applaud his efforts and those of other track firms to develop the track day scene.
We both want to draw a line under this dispute and move on. What has been said is history and I want it to remain that way. The hatchet is buried.![]()
you go to the non "junkies" days that are held haha go to http://www.kiwitrackdays.co.nz/
i guess you get the details from there and register
Check out MotoTT too...
Or Redline trackdays. Or one of each! There's a redline one on the 27th, and MotoTT on 28th.
Waaalll what ya do see, is ya come to a track day with me see and ya let me try ya bike out on a track see and i'll let ya know if it was an experience or not !
Nah seriously you first talk to your insurer ! Ask them who you would be insured with, www.motott.co.nz www.redlinetrackdays.co.nz or www.kiwitrackdays.co.nz ! There seems to be some favouritism with different companies for different trackday companies which is a shame ! Be prepared for a shock when it comes to your excess (sp) and call them a training day when referring to them lol
And book in with one or if your really lucky (with your insurers) all of them !
See ya there (maybe) look me up, i'll sell ya a fridge !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
