    Howdy - amboguy

    Hey guys,

the names Baden, living in Porirua . Just became the owner of a 1996 honda hornet 250. First time on a bike since being nailed by a drink driver in 2006 which put me off bikes for a fair while! enough of the sob story! Look forward to seeing you guys around wellington and so forth! will no doubt pop up time to time with some questions . Also have a large collection of vintage motorcycles in the family dating back as far as 1915 (Royal Enfeild) up to 1955 (AJS).

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

WHAT SHE SAID! Oh and you will always get silly answers too - it's just the nature of this place though don't take it to heart

Baden, welcome to our little comunity. Good choice of first bike, nice styling and good performer.

If I can give you one piece of advice, I'd tell you to change your login name and never mention what you do for a living again on this website.

thanks for the welcome guys !

So far the hornet is giving afew teething issues, but expected that for the price i paid. Has a low end miss more so when its cold, and gradually gets better when it warms up sounds like its coughing when your off the gas, so will be going in for a service sooner rather than later, any of you wellington folk recommend a place to take it into? was looking at richards motorcycles in Johnsonville.

    Cheers!

Richard's always been good to me, however if you're in a hurry for it I would ring and ask how long first (I was told a 4 week wait for a repair I needed doing a few weeks ago) Boyles are good to deal with also, otherwise if you want it done fast and well take it to Wellington MC.
