    You get full tuition

Good advice, up to a point. Probably the point at which you're bouncing along on your arse behind the rig waiting for your leathers to wear through to your undies.

No, Sidecar Bob was the passenger on the yellow F1 rig with no main fairing. He was the one waving to his loyal fans, and also trying to make it look as though he was putting in a galant effort.......... I don't think the ruse worked........
Bones used to be his nickname - now it's just lazy bones...........

I also reckon he can put way more effort in his swinging/riding he's making it look way to easy

Okay, spoke with my wife and she's in for this. She just wants to know how safe it is or better still will she stay on.

So when you've taken noobs around who are a little conservative have you lost any of them overboard. I'm guessing not and that it's a well organised and safe event.

I wonder if the older ones are better to start with although seeing Will and Julie on the Triumph makes me wonder about that. I'm surprised the bike holds up to the punishment it gets. Those two look like they have a lot of fun.

Actually that can be said for the sidecars in general. You folks look like you're enjoying yourselves out there.

Yeah!! I may have to turbo charge the freakshow, and run it on nitromethane and use it only at fun events, just so Bob has to work a bit harder!!
You know something, he even has the audacity to pour water over his face after a race, just so it looks like he's sweating!!!
He even texted me before Paeroa saying I was too slow for him, and I couldn't make him sweat!!!

I suspect so, hehe, the yellow number 2 machine in the modern class with no front faring? That was us.
Or do you mean the two red big wheelers in the classic class? Rick & Dave Dennison, & Bruce Williamson & swinger.

Dude noobs do fall off. But thats 99% of the time cause they wanna go as fast as possible (Thats at least why i fell off)

If you go up to any of the teams on the day and ask them to take it easy they will. Trust me your wife is in safe hands.

I found the classics "easier" as they dont accelerate as hard as the other rigs giving you a little more rest time. But dont think for one second its any less fun/scary these thing will brake and turn like you cant believe!

Dont tell scrivy but the first time you get on its a little scary but after the first corner you just wanna go faster and faster.

Thanks my wife will be pleased to hear that although I'm not sure what use she'll be as a swinger. She weighs 47-49kg and thinks she's a little heavy. She also doesn't read this thread. Apparently I'm overweight so I'll be more useful on the back.

So how many pillions get to do the bouncy thing or slide and how are they afterwards. I'm assuming the slide or roll does more damage to the ego than anything else.

You very close to ground so you dont have the sudden impact.... you just slide on your ass .... back ...... knees...... grass......

Taupo is pretty safe for falling off so no worries.

Now saying that i did have 3 cracked and 1 broken rib Again that was cause i wanted to go as fast as possible and was concentrating on the cornering and the acceleration not thinking that hang on this thing needs to brake..... HARD. and got slammed into mudguards a few times.
