Oh you little ray of sunshine - I thought you two were riding our bikes to the wedding?? - if so you'd better change your weather wishes eh

I was told today that the "Moon Man" (a guy who does long range weather forecasts which include moon cycles etc - he seems to have a following in the Ag community as his record is reasonably good) is predicting a long wet cold winter. SO get out and enjoy all the good stuff before then

After barely having even ONE rally this 'summer' where I didn't get wet going to/being at/returning home from I guess one more soggy trip won't matter...

Hey - lets no go doing the weather forecast this far out eh !!! - it could be a beautiful fine weekend.
Working out what route to get there is the question - back roads or seal - a trip from here, over past Lake Onslow and then over the Dunstan trail past the Loganburn would be great on a nice day - but - a little unsociable if theres no other adventure riders

Well if it was today & tomorrow I wouldn't be there freezing my "bits' off BUT it's still over 3 weeks away so it will be great like the last few years!
I think now I am leaning towards Middlemarch rather than Greta Valley tho!

The sight on the Sunday morning of the MHR wasn't a pleasant sight, good old SD mooning us all with his warehouse undies. Can wee all put a couple of dollars in and get him some Bendon man undies? At least we shouldn't be able to see his "moon" during daylight hours from when he walks out of his tent first thing in the morning.

Mind you, guess he's not that shy to show of his lilly white legs and nobbly knees.

Could always still head off down south on the Friday and stay somewhere else that night for a Party-up!!
Omarama, Cromwell, Ranfurly or somewhere with a pub maybe some cabins? then a sleep -in and easy day or roundabout ride to Middlemarch.
    Anyone interested??

I'm sorta leaning towards Sundown at this stage, if only because I'll get a decent ride out of it as opposed to making the effort to find a long way from Dunedin to Middlemarch....

Wet weather and $$$ in the bank - or lack thereof - are the only things that would spoil that ride...

If I do do Sundown plaining to take Friday off work to head up and Monday as well so I can just cruise back - possibly via Tekapo for the Sunday night and then back to Dunners the next day.

These rallies are damn hard on the wallet!!

And there are 2 on on the same day!
Where can I find out more about them?
